Abstract Information:

Astro-Physics German Equatorial GoTo mounts have been used for research and educational programs since the late 1990s. In recent years, the 3600GTO mount was developed to handle instrumentation weighing 300+lbs. The Limit/Homing switch system, precision encoder and through-the-mount cabling features coupled with the new Astro-Physics Command Center (APCC) software were incorporated with remote imaging applications in mind. This poster paper discusses the various options for controlling Astro-Physics mounts and highlights a variety of university and professional installations around the world.
